abstract = {Ethical doctrines are among the most fundamental pillars of any religious tradition. Scholars adopt various approaches in interpreting these doctrines. One such approach concerns the influence of historical consciousness on the interpretation of religious ethics. Employing a descriptive-analytical method, this article examines the views of Joseph Ratzinger, representing a traditionalist approach, and Charles Curran, representing an approach emphasizing the necessity of rethinking and adapting doctrines to historical contexts. This study demonstrates that combining historical consciousness with adherence to constant principles can provide a balanced framework for reinterpreting religious ethics. Within the Islamic tradition, concepts such as ijtihad (independent legal reasoning) and maqāṣid al-sharīʿah (the higher objectives of Islamic law) serve as mechanisms for preserving ethical dynamism and stability, providing a suitable basis for redefining rulings and teachings according to contemporaneous conditions. Furthermore, recourse to the practical conduct (sīrah) of the Prophet and his Household contributes to a deeper and more practical understanding of ethical doctrines. Examples such as the evolving stance on slavery, the importance of environmental conservation, and a merciful approach toward enemies during war illustrate the significant role of historical consciousness in expanding and deepening Islamic ethics. Accordingly, an approach that integrates dynamism and stability can not only address modern needs but also strengthen religious identity and promote inter-traditional dialogue.

abstract_fa ={آموزه‌های اخلاقی از بنیادی‌ترین ارکان اخلاقی هر سنت دینی هستند. صاحب‌نظران در تفسیر این آموزه‌ها دارای رویکردهای مختلفی هستند. یکی از این رویکردها تأثیر آگاهی تاریخی بر تفسیر اخلاق دینی است. این مقاله به روش توصیفی ـ تحلیلی به بررسی دیدگاه ژوزف راتزینگر نمایندة رویکرد سنتی و چارلز کوران نمایندة رویکرد ضرورت بازاندیشی و انطباق آموزه‌ها با زمینه‌های تاریخی پرداخته است. این مطالعه نشان می‌دهد که ترکیب آگاهی تاریخی با پایبندی به اصول ثابت می‌تواند چارچوبی متعادل برای بازخوانی اخلاق دینی فراهم آورد. در سنت اسلامی، مفاهیمی مانند اجتهاد و مقاصد شریعت به‌عنوان سازوکارهایی برای حفظ پویایی و ثبات اخلاقی، بستر مناسبی برای بازتعریف احکام و آموزه‌ها بر اساس شرایط زمانه فراهم می‌آورند؛ همچنین بهره‌گیری از سیرة عملی پیامبر؟ص؟ و اهل‌بیت؟عهم؟ به درک عمیق‌تر و عملی‌تر آموزه‌های اخلاقی کمک می‌کند. نمونه‌هایی مانند تغییر نگرش نسبت به برده‌داری، اهمیت حفظ محیط‌زیست و رویکرد رحمانی به دشمن در شرایط جنگی، اهمیت نقش آگاهی تاریخی را در گسترش و تعمیق اخلاق اسلامی نمایان می‌سازد. بر این اساس، رویکردی که پویایی و ثبات را در کنار هم قرار دهد، نه‌تنها می‌تواند پاسخگوی نیازهای نوین باشد، بلکه به تقویت انسجام هویتی دینی و ارتقای گفت‌وگوی بین سنت‌ها کمک می‌نماید.
