Abstract:
As one of God's signs and creations, Satan has goodness but he is cursed and rejected by God because of his disobedience. Various books and articles have been written about Satan, each examining this creature from a specific dimension. Among the topics related to the Satan are his direct and indirect confessions stated in the Quran. Emphasizing the divine verses, this article deals with the direct confessions of Satan, including: (1) God's existence and His attributes, such as creativity, existential lordship and divine dignity; (2) resurrection and issues such as divine punishment and breaking relationships in the resurrection; (3) operations and related works. The Satan admits that he lurks in the straight path and tries to deceive and dominate people by causing negligence and embellishment. The main theological problem of Satan is not accepting the legislative unity and not reaching the quorum of monotheism. In addition, even though he accepted resurrection and acknowledged it, he did put his belief into action and his knowledge was of no use to him. In summary, instead of moving in the straight path, he lurks there and misleads people in various ways. Focusing on the Qur'an and using the descriptive-analytical method, the present research tries to explain the explicit and direct confessions of Satan.
