Jihad of Clarification, emphasized by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution as a strategic duty in the present era, extends beyond political, cultural, and media dimensions to encompass profound ethical foundations that ensure its success and lasting influence. Using an analytical–descriptive method and drawing upon Islamic sources such as the Qur’an, Hadith, the conduct of the Infallibles, and statements of current religious authority, this study argues that the authenticity and effectiveness of Jihad of Clarification depend on two essential pillars: goodness of the agent (sincerity, intention of nearness to God, purity of motive) and goodness of the act (honesty, wisdom, respect for human dignity, piety, eloquence, and clarity). According to these criteria, Jihad of Clarification can be classified into four types: the most complete form possessing both pillars; forms with only goodness of the agent or only goodness of the act; and a form lacking both, which is devoid of ethical value and may lead to deviation. The study concludes that neglecting either pillar diverts Jihad of Clarification from its true path and reduces it to a tool serving selfish aims.
